March 4- Zulu Parade About The 610 Stompers The 610 Stompers are many things but, first and foremost, we are Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Moves. Since our birth in 2009, we have evolved and grown into a 100-man strong, all male dance group whose bold mission is to return the ordinary man to the glory of dance. The 610 Stompers performing one of their dances while marching down the parade route. Started in 2009, the 610 Stompers are a all-male dance group in New Orleans. [1] [2] Named for the Superdome section where the founder, Brett Patron (“Slab”), had season tickets to the New Orleans Saints, the 610 Stompers march in Mardi Gras parades, perform at charity events, and dance at halftime shows. Since their humble inception in 2009, the Stompers have become a NOLA institution. Pop-and-locking through parades, they draw rapturous applause from audiences equally impressed and amused by the Stompers’ unique style. The 610 Stomper's annual Debutante Ball will also include a costume contest, choosing the best '80s/'90s character and outfit of them all. Prepare the necessary pieces and get creative as you decide the best fit for the occasion. The 610 Stompers Debutante Ball debuts our new rookie class, AND our new dances for the upcoming Carnival season!
