Balcony cabins midship-stern on the starboard sign you may smell the smokers below you (if that bothers you) If you can grab one of those balconies that begin a row of cabins of the same category , as #14495 as we had. (same cruise rate as cabins) next door . Almost all of the balcony locations are fine on Carnival Mardi Gras. I personally prefer to be up higher and closer to the outdoor spaces, but I also prefer to have a stateroom above me rather than the pool deck or lido restaurant. In my case I wanted an extended mid-ship balcony, so I booked on Deck 14. We loved our Deck 10 aft balconies on the Mardi Gras (10461 and 10463). They are very deep with sun and shade. We had connecting balcony rooms with our kids and the divider opens between them. Thereās a wide range of Carnival's Mardi Gras rooms, and many come with special perks such as access into reserved areas. At double occupancy, the Carnival Mardi Gras capacity is 5,282 passengers. Sailed with a spa 9 balcony on Mardi Gras, and I wouldnāt again. The actual suite isnāt nearly as nice as I would have expected. No outside views kinda ruined it, but the private elevator down to a main level was super nice as elevators tended to be crowded. There "may be" exceptions though. On the cruise ships like this one, the regular pattern may not work in some points like the spots where assembly blocks are connected, or where standard cabins border cabins with a different layout. (And the actual spa is on deck five with zero views to the ocean but there is an express elevator to get there.) Because this ship is so large, on the upper decks it really doesn't matter where you are because the view is spectacular.
