Two big parades coming up in Biloxi with Neptune on Saturday and Gulf Coast on Fat Tuesday. This year, there will be a new parade route. Floats will no longer ride on Highway 90 down at Porter Avenue and the parades will stay south of the railroad tracks. City crews continue to prepare for the upcoming Mardi Gras festivities happening this weekend, all leading up to the big day, Fat Tuesday. The most-telling signs of approaching parades, of course, are the barricades along downtown streets. This week, Public Works crews installed 2,200 barricades, 12,000 feet of rope and 500 rope poles, 300 traffic Admission is free but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Biloxi Visitors Center, 1050 Beach Blvd. For more information, click here.
