We pulled several options between RC and Carnival and where they say kids are free On RC, they make up for it in room cost, fees etc. we just did our first RC cruise a couple weeks ago (we've always sailed Carnival) and we actually only booked 4 of the 6 of us and put our other two kids on the in-laws room to make it work room count wise and it still cost us more for only 2 adults Carnival is also a great line for kids, but their kids clubs are smaller and just have a different vibe. When I cruised with kids my kids loved RCCL, carnival not so much. Mardi Gras is carnival's latest and greatest so your fine in that department, but If you have the opportunity to sail on an Oasis class for the same cost then I would do that.
