Check out some clips of a crazy cruise ship horn battle between the Carnival Cruise Lines, Mardi Gras & Freedom as they try to see who has the loudest horn The Mardi Gras is shiny and new and on an entirely new level for Carnival. The itinerary is definitely not amazing. I love Cozumel. But Mahogany Bay was not a great spot. Just a beach with abysmal food and shopping options. I’d probably still pick the Mardi Gras even with that, though. I’m a sucker for a shiny mega ship. Mardi Gras definitely has the better itinerary, but I would personally pick the Oasis over the Mardi Gras in terms of the ship itself. As a disclaimer, I've only been on one of the Oasis' sister ships, the Symphony of the Seas, and haven't been on the new Carnival ships.
