We typically walked up to deck 6 then to the forward or aft elevators if going up to Lido. We typically LOVE aft balconies on cruise ships as we really enjoy sitting out and listening to the prop wash and ship wake. However on the Mardi Gras, the aft cabins are not actually on the very aft of the ship, they are on full display to the pool and 'boardwalk' area on Deck 8.
