Planning a cruise on Carnival Mardi Gras? This guide showcases all the best dining options onboard, from casual eateries to upscale specialty restaurants. Launched in 2021, Mardi Gras is an innovative Excel-class ship featuring six themed zones and exciting attractions like BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea. Carnival Cruise Line’s new ship, Mardi Gras, is absolutely chock-full of dining venues, many included and some with an up-charge. To help passengers determine what’s open for which meal and An Overview of the Dining Options at the Carnival Mardi Gras The free meal selections on Carnival cruises are many, which contributes to the company’s reputation for providing excellent value. On Mardi Gras, there is a new chicken establishment that was developed in collaboration with none other than Shaquille O’Neal, who serves as Fun Carnival Mardi Gras Dining Options. There are two styles of dining on Mardi Gras -- traditional, with set times at the spacious two-story Palm restaurant -- and Your Time Dining in the much Cucina Del Capitano on the Mardi Gras works differently than some of Carnival's older ships as on the Mardi Gras this is considered an alternative to the main dining room. Guests on Mardi Gras can dine one complimentary time in Cucina Del Capitano and then each additional visit costs extra ($8 per person at the time of writing). (For a limited time during the inaugural season on Mardi Gras, you’ll have your choice of complimentary dining at specialty restaurants Cucina del Capitano, Chibang! and Guy’s Pig & Anchor New Carnival Menu Rollout Schedule. The new dining room menus were released on the Carnival Dream in June and Carnival Conquest in July of 2023. The Carnival Menu rollout continued fleetwide around the dates listed below: Carnival Radiance: August 18, 2023. Mardi Gras: August 19, 2023. Carnival Breeze: September 2, 2023. Carnival Panorama Carnival Mardi Gras dining provides cruisers with a mouthwatering blend of exciting new dining options and perennial cruise line favorites. Passengers can taste authentic bayou flavors at Emeril’s Bistro 1396, Emeril Lagasse’s first-ever restaurant at sea, or enjoy a tableside performance at Bonsai Teppanyaki. Philly Cheesesteak fries are a big hit with grilled onions, melted cheese, and sliced steak on top. We kick off a new ship’s career with a naming ceremony and ours are one part tradition and a lotta parts fun! On these Starting Summer 2025, 12 Carnival ships will sail to Celebration Key from eight homeports: From Miami: Carnival Celebration and Carnival Conquest. From Port Canaveral: Mardi Gras, Carnival Freedom, and Carnival Glory. From Galveston: Carnival Dream and Carnival Legend. From New Orleans: Carnival Liberty. From Baltimore: Carnival Pride Cucina del Capitano, ChiBang, and Guy's Pig and Anchor Smokehouse are all included dining venues, and anytime dining allows wider access to the first two - those with anytime dining can request a table at Cucina and ChiBang at any time during dinner service, while those with assigned dining (early or late) are restricted from requesting a table until I believe 8pm or around there. On Mardi Gras last year, the dining room opened 30 minutes earlier (5:00) on the first elegant night than the other six nights. Also, on Mardi Gras with YTD you have the option to dine in the dining room, Cucina del Capitano, Chibang, and Pig and Anchor. For Pig and Anchor you just show up, but you check in on the app for the others. Carnival Mardi Gras Overview.
