About Carnival Mardi Gras Mardi Gras, launched in 2021, is a groundbreaking Excel-class ship that redefines the cruising experience with its innovative features and diverse amenities. With a gross tonnage of 180,800 and a guest capacity ranging from 5,282 to 6,338 passengers, it offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment. Starting Summer 2025, 12 Carnival ships will sail to Celebration Key from eight homeports: From Miami: Carnival Celebration and Carnival Conquest. From Port Canaveral: Mardi Gras, Carnival Freedom, and Carnival Glory. From Galveston: Carnival Dream and Carnival Legend. From New Orleans: Carnival Liberty. From Baltimore: Carnival Pride The restaurant selections at Carnival Mardi Gras give you a choice of 22 (yes, 22!) different locations to dine, both during the day and at night. Favorites from the Carnival, such as Guy’s Burgers and Bonsai Sushi, are still available at Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras will begin sailing from Port Canaveral later this summer and will offer week long cruises to the Caribbean. Dinner: At dinner, the Mardi Gras' Lido Marketplace place serves a complimentary casual buffet dining experience. Carnival changes the options nightly, but their website says a sample of options include a variety of pastas, steaks, prime rib, grilled Carnival has always given cruisers a variety of Lido deck venues, but Mardi Gras spoils you for choice -- and most are not only complimentary, they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Carnival Pizza Pirate is available on Carnival Breeze, Conquest, and Liberty. Carnival Pizza Pirate Menu offers a quick slice or whole pizza. Both Carnival cruise ship dress code on the first night is casual, but in the Steakhouse shorts again are NOT permitted. Carnival knows that your luggage may have not been delivered to your cabin until after dinner, that's why the first night is always less formal than any other night, and pretty much anything goes in the MDR (even cargo shorts, T-shirts, sneakers, etc). 6. Mardi Gras Muffuletta. While most Mardi Gras fare has French-Creole roots, this Italian sandwich is Mardi Gras approved. It’s savory, filling, and sure to help mitigate a night of drinki *ahem* festivities. On Mardi Gras, Chibang offers a mix of free and paid dining options. Lunch at Chibang is always free for all guests. For dinner, your first visit to Chibang is complimentary. If you want to dine there for dinner again during your cruise, you’ll need to pay a small fee of $8 per person for each additional visit. It’s still a good idea to pack items of clothing that are versatile, for example sundresses or shorts that can take you from the beach to dinner, or shorts that work for both hiking and hanging out on deck. We suggest you pack the following: Carnival Cruise Line guests on the Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Jubilee are able to enjoy some of Carnival's specialty dining options for free at dinner (for at least one meal depending on the venue). This includes Cucina Del Capitano, Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, and Chibang. MEET THE CEREMONY.
