Carnival Cruise Line has begun testing extra charges for ChiBang, a specialty restaurant aboard the line’s two Excel-class ships, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. At the moment, the extra Carnival Cruise Line has updated its specialty dining fees with a new charge added to one popular venue aboard the cruise line’s two biggest ships, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. The new It offered a new type of flexibility to dining on the ship that differed from the rest of the Carnival fleet. ChiBang has both Mexican and Asian food, although it’s not fusion. Carnival Cruise Line's new ship, Mardi Gras, is absolutely chock-full of dining venues, many included and some with an up-charge. whether they'll pay extra or not, Carnival put together a Carnival Celebration*, Carnival Jubilee*, Mardi Gras*, Carnival Panorama, and Carnival Horizon. Cost: À la carte ($2.50+) *Dinner on Carnival Celebration, Carnival Jubilee, and Mardi Gras is included. It's an extra-charge restaurant on Carnival Panorama and Carnival Horizon only 24-hour room service (charges apply; Continental breakfast is complimentary) Carnival Kitchen (featured on Carnival Celebration, Carnival Jubilee and Mardi Gras) Alcoholic and non-alcoholic bar beverages (excluding beverages served in the Main Dining Room and Lido Restaurant such as non-bottled water, lemonade, iced tea, select juices, hot Cucina Del Capitano on the Mardi Gras works differently than some of Carnival's older ships as on the Mardi Gras this is considered an alternative to the main dining room. Guests on Mardi Gras can dine one complimentary time in Cucina Del Capitano and then each additional visit costs extra ($8 per person at the time of writing). On March 9th, Carnival Brand Ambassador posted to his Facebook page the following: "If you'll be sailing on Carnival Mardi Gras, just more confirmation that Carnival does not plan to charge for ChiBang, Cuccina del Capitano, and Guys Pig and Anchor." I think that's as close as we're getting to an official announcement. Carnival’s Mardi Gras has even more. Many of those are free restaurants, like Guy’s Burger Joint, the buffet, and the main dining room. But Carnival has a number of specialty restaurants on each ship as well. These specialty restaurants are for an additional charge, but are highly popular. Cucina del Capitano on Carnival’s Mardi Gras. While Cucina del Capitano is normally an Italian specialty restaurant on Carnival with an extra charge of $18 for dinner ($6 for kids), on the Mardi Gras, it’s complimentary!
