Pickleball. If you’re hungry, the deli is that way! But whether you’re a pickleball novice or kind of a pro, we’re serving up a spot on-board where you can meet up for some friendly competition. In this scaled-down tennis-like game — pop! — oh hey, that’s just the way it sounds when someone hits the ball, you’ll get used to it. The first-of-its-kind ropes course will offer fun and adventure for all, along with magnificent views of the sea nearly 150 feet below. Thrill-seekers will strap into a safety harness and choose from a beginner or intermediate course, traversing across rope bridges, swinging steps and beams suspended above the top deck. While Carnival Conquest has become the first Carnival ship to feature a permanent pickleball court, the game can be played on several other Carnival ships. Activities include basketball, dodgeball, outdoor fitness, pickleball, ropes course, skyride, soccer, and volleyball. As of 2024, Carnival Cruise Line offers pickleball on 18 ships. Royal Pickleball is available on the following Carnival ships as a part of the Carnival SportsSquare areas: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Celebration, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Legend, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Pride, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras was beautiful and absolutely massive. The interior was decorated beautifully. Having said that, I really missed the layout of the older ships.
