First completed in June 2020, Cruise Terminal 3 (also known as CT3) at Port Canaveral is the port’s newest addition, but it may be best known as the new home of Carnival’s newest — and largest — ship, Mardi Gras. I've been port side in every ship I have ever sailed on and I would say 50/50 we've shared port views with the starboard side. On Carnival Liberty and Carnival Destiny we shared our ports between the two sides. On Carnival Inspiration we did, too. Once, in Cozumel, the port side of the ship was looking in the windows of Carnival Fascination. Carnival Mardi Gras Cabins To Avoid . Lower Deck Cabins. On port days we were docked on the starboard side. every one on the dock can see your balcony. Port side has nothing to do with what side you dock on. Looking forward toward the bow (front) of the ship, the port side is the LEFT side of the ship, and starboard is the right side. There's been plenty of times when we've been docked with the starboard side facing the port of call.
