Although forward-facing balcony rooms may offer stunning views, they can also be windier and experience more movement. Looking forward to a great week, in a great balcony room, on a great deck, the Lido. We were one of the first onboard due to being Platinum Cruisers. We dropped our carry on bags and departed quickly. We proceeded to do what we were there for, enjoy a cruise. The room is significantly smaller although the balcony itself is the same size as a standard balcony cabin. For light packers, this might not be an issue. However, consider opting for a standard balcony or a larger room for more space. Junior balcony staterooms are only available on Mardi Gras, Carnival Jubilee, and Carnival Celebration. 3. 11. Ocean View Rooms (if you’re into activities) Carnival ships are packed with fun things to see and do, many of which are on the higher decks. Looking to book a cove balcony and other "middle" located rooms on Deck 5, but my concern is that it's all directly below common spaces ---specifically Flamingo Restaurant, Emeril's Bistro and the Forunte Teller Bar (French Quarter area). Should I avoid these areas if I'm worried about noise from the areas above. Avoid Carnival rooms that are located right below the Pool Deck. Never had a balcony room, but I had an ocean view room on my first cruise & an interior room on my second cruise I honestly preferred the interior room because like you said, I was only in there to sleep & it got SUPER dark at night. We are planning on sailing June 2022 for our 30th anniversary and decided last night on the Mardi Gras! We saw 2 cabins- deck 11 ( cabin 11300) and deck 14 (cabin 14333.) The deck 11 cabin is closer to the elevators and is a connecting cabin. I am kind of concerned about noise from both. It is al I have not been on the Mardi gras. I would probably say I would dislike the idea of the spa being on level 5 and having to take an elevator to it. I thoroughly enjoyed the Spa room on the Vista. Quick access to the spa from the room. Traveled with disabled person. Carnival Mardi Gras July 16- 23, 2022 on high levels of the We loved our Deck 10 aft balconies on the Mardi Gras (10461 and 10463). They are very deep with sun and shade. We had connecting balcony rooms with our kids and the divider opens between them. I went on Mardi Gras 3 weeks ago. My wife, two young kids and me. I sailed a lot as a kid (mostly Carnival but also RC and NCL) so on the MG I went platinum. It helped a lot with the lines for embarkation, guest services and disembarking. However, you’re right on. It’s quite crowded and the elevators are too small. Carnival Mardi Gras Second place for Carnival Mardi Gras , the flagship for the XL Class.
