On the all-new Skyride, cycle on a pedal-powered bike high above the deck while taking in the sparkling blue sea views. Click for more info and pictures! Guests must be at least 54 inches tall and weigh less than 250 pounds to ride. Carnival says that workout attire is required and that swimwear and backless shoes (like sandals or flip-flops) are prohibited. Guests will have to empty their pockets before riding, but Carnival has cubbies next to the attraction to hold any belongings. Both Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration feature the ride, and the track length, layout, speed, and duration of the ride is the same on both vessels. On the tradition end, we get dignitaries like Mardi Gras' godmother, Miss Dominican Republic Kimberly Jiménez, and our own Chief Fun Officer Shaq to help make sure the champagne bottle gets broken just right for good luck. Currently only Carnival’s newest and largest ships have the Bolt roller coaster. That includes Mardi Gras, where the ride debuted, and Carnival Celebration. Another ship in the class — Carnival Jubilee — debuts in late 2023. It is expected to also have the ride, although that could change. How Long Does The Ride Last? With 20 decks and enough space for 6500 guests, Carnival's Mardi Gras offers many fun attractions and innovative features. This includes Carnival Cruise Line's first-ever roller coaster at sea The ride is located aft on Mardi Gras’ deck 19, though the entrance is on deck 18 and eager riders must climb stairs to reach the waiting and loading area for the coaster. BOLT Roller Coaster The first one on everyone's list is the Carnival Mardi Gras roller coaster Bolt, the first roller coaster at sea-- a genuine thrill ride you need to try at least once. And then there's the Atrium Created by a roller coaster designer in Munich, Bolt: The Ultimate Sea Coaster debuted in July 2021 on Mardi Gras, the first of Carnival's Excel-class ships. What It Is Designed with the sophisticated teen in mind, Club O2 on Carnival's Mardi Gras presents a unique assembly of cool, engaging activities and social opportunities for those aged 15 to 17. At Club O2, teenagers can revel in the latest music hits, engage in exhilarating video game competitions, or partake in themed parties and karaoke nights, all The first-of-its-kind ropes course will offer fun and adventure for all, along with magnificent views of the sea nearly 150 feet below. Thrill-seekers will strap into a safety harness and choose from a beginner or intermediate course, traversing across rope bridges, swinging steps and beams suspended above the top deck. Carnival Kitchen: (on Carnival Celebration, Carnival Jubilee and Mardi Gras): Guests can enjoy more than 15 onboard hands-on culinary experiences led by our talented chefs. The SkyRide is a pedal-type bike that takes you around above the upper deck Sky Zone. You know cruises are great for disconnecting. So leave the ground behind for a while and experience the first-ever Sky Zone ® at sea. Carnival Panorama ® is home to this uniquely fun indoor trampoline park and challenge zone, a shrine to soaring that’s open to adventure-seekers of all ages. Lose the shoes and gain vacation Plenty of folks come to a Carnival cruise ready to chill, but if it’s a thrill you’re seeking, this is also the vacation for you. Meet BOLT ®: the fastest — and first! — rollercoaster at sea. Strap in and zoom your motorcycle-style speed machine around an open-air course high, high above sea level. There’s a place in our heart for heroes and now there’s a spot to salute them! Spend a bit of vacation time raising a glass to the Armed Services personnel and their families at the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. Both ships are nice although the Mardi Gras being a good bit larger has more entertainment, more bars, more food options, and larger crowds. I would consider the features of both ships as one point of consideration. The Bolt roller-coaster on Madi Gras might be of interest. Vista has a human pedal powered Sky Ride. Here everyone — even kids — become thrill-seekers, testing their ability to make their way around the course, which features two levels of challenge, letting you increase or decrease the toughness as you go. So take to the sky! It’s called the BOLT roller coaster, and right now, it can only be found on the Carnival Mardi Gras. A second BOLT roller coaster will appear on the Carnival Celebration when it debuts in November 2022 and a third on the Carnival Jubilee in 2023.
