It looks like I come across something new every time I look at the Mardi Gras deck plans. Very handy that there's a Spa Elevator that goes direct from deck 17 to deck 5 (Spa). Even more reason to see what the spa has to offer - since they're making it so convenient ! OK, I might just go ahead and bite the bullet and try the couples massage again. Found out on day 5 about this elevator. You must have a spa cabin for access. Here we are on the Carnival Mardi Gras in Cloud9 Spa Balcony Cabin. There is a Direct Flight elevator down to the Thermal Spa Suite. Deck 17 to Deck 5 with N Carnival Mardi Gras Cabin 17228 is not only a Spa cabin it’s also an advanced handicap designed cabin. We booked a spa cove on deck 5. On Dream, Magic and Breeze, with great spasms, the convenience of an upper deck spa cabin was a plus. The smaller spa on the Vista and Horizon weren't worth it, IOO. We also thought the offerings of upper deck spa cabins on the Mardi Gras, would not be as convenient either. Quick access to the spa from the room. Great to check out in the morning and at times in the evening before going to dinner. We used the smart elevators on Horizon - once we got how they worked, it was great. Definately shorter waits most of the time, just once in a while when meals begin, shows begin/end, when there is congestion anyway, the smart part did not make a difference. Looking forward to seeing how they work on MArdiGras! Welljust to be on MArdi Gras!! Sailed with a spa 9 balcony on Mardi Gras, and I wouldn’t again. The actual suite isn’t nearly as nice as I would have expected. No outside views kinda ruined it, but the private elevator down to a main level was super nice as elevators tended to be crowded.
