The Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas has 1 fewer bar than the Carnival Mardi Gras. The Mariner of the Seas has 15 bars like Casino bar, R Bar and Suite Lounge. On Mariner of the Seas, you can grab a drink at 16 different bars such as Java Blue Cafe, Serenity Pool Bar and The Brass Magnolia. The Carnival Mardi Gras has a total of 6 pools and 7 hot tubs. 2 of the pools are exclusive access, which means there's either an extra charge to access them or you need to book a certain class of cabin to have access to them. I haven't been on a RCL yet but I'm itching to go on the Mariner of the Seas before it leaves Port Canaveral but we've been on several Carnival and Princess ships. I think your kids would love Carnival. Afterall it's the fun ship. I would highly recommend the Glory. We had a great time on it. There is a huge waterslid that the kids would love.
