I’ve sailed MSC twice (Divina and Seaside). I think I strongly prefer Carnival. One of the main reasons we're considering Carnival is the amount of included food / restaurants that these two ships seem to offer. On MSC you just get a buffet and mdr. Carnival has softserve machines. On msc, ice cream costs extra (except for some mdr desserts). In general, my only takeaway is that the MSC ships are gorgeous, and they have really nice staircases. The new Carnival ships are nice too. If the msc is cheaper, and the cost difference is a really big deal, then We have an ancient hootoo travel router, it worked fine on Carnival Mardi Gras, but I think it was on Hal Rotterdam we could not get it to work, based on how their login forced us to go to a certain type of 'portal' page.
