On Mardi Gras last year, the dining room opened 30 minutes earlier (5:00) on the first elegant night than the other six nights. Also, on Mardi Gras with YTD you have the option to dine in the dining room, Cucina del Capitano, Chibang, and Pig and Anchor. For Pig and Anchor you just show up, but you check in on the app for the others. This dining option offers guests a pre-set dining time for the duration of the cruise as well as the same table assignment each evening in the Main Dining Room. Guests who choose this option will not be able to reserve 'Your Time' open seating once on board. 'Your Time' Open Seating Dining 'Your Time' open seating is offered fleet wide. These main dining rooms share the same rotating menus. Port Day Breakfast: Palm Restaurant 7:00-9:00am. Sea Day Brunch: Palm Restaurant 8:30am-12pm. Sea Day Tea Time: Flamingo Restaurant 3:00-4:00pm. Anyone know which dining room is used for this ? Thanks.. I found the “Your Time” dining much more convenient when we were on Mardi Gras. This lets you check-in to the MDR any time you want and also lets you check-in to the specialty restaurants whenever you want. If you have a set dining time, you did have to wait until after a certain time to check-in to those. Tip: On Mardi Gras, if you have Your Time Dining and want to order anything from the main dining room in an alternative venue, you can do so. We had warm chocolate melting cake in Chibang and it Cucina Del Capitano on the Mardi Gras works differently than some of Carnival's older ships as on the Mardi Gras this is considered an alternative to the main dining room. Guests on Mardi Gras can dine one complimentary time in Cucina Del Capitano and then each additional visit costs extra ($8 per person at the time of writing).
