Get ready for a spectacle like no other as the Krewe of Cleopatra dazzles Carnival 2025 with over 2,800 riders, 100 unique throws, and the grand debut of their all-new signature floats! Rolling along the historic Uptown parade route, starting at Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street, the procession celebrates women’s achievements in the Over 50 years ago, a New Orleans family chose to honor this icon of history, and resolved to create the all female “Krewe of Cleopatra”. The Krewe continues to be combine their passion for Mardi Gras and their love for the city of New Orleans every year, creating a unique and sisterhood of family members, friends, locals, and out-of-towners. The women of Cleopatra are ready to light up New Orleans with dazzling floats, unique throws, and a family-focused tradition that’s 52 years strong Mardi Gras Krewe of Cleopatra gears up for Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival. The Algiers Mardi Gras Parade and Festival will be back on Saturday, February 1 at New Orleans Federal City in Algiers. Entertainment will include Brass-A-Holics, Amanda Shaw, The U.S. Marine Reserve Jazz Band and more. The parade starts at 9 a.m. and the Festival begins at 10 a.m. Founded more than 50 years ago in 1972, the first all-female krewe on the West Bank moved to the East Bank in 2012, becoming the first all-female organization on the Uptown route. Mardi Gras may be an ancient celebration but there's always some new to discover. As the krewes announce their 2020 themes, throws and celebrity monarchs and riders, we’ll post that information here.
