Parade Route: Due to the combined length of the Carnival in Covington Mardi Gras Day parades, they will not loop back around through Downtown Covington for a second run. Saturday, January 11th COVINGTON, La. — The 2025 Carnival season kicked off on January 6, and Krewe of Olympia is set to roll through Covington on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. The Mystic Krewe of Olympia has a Mardi Gras Day on the Northshore begins at 10 a.m. with the 24-float Carnival in Covington. More than 450 riders will celebrate with the theme, "This and Dat." Float titles include Red Beans and Rice with Abita Roasting, Crawfish and Beer with St John's Fools of Misrule, and Lady and the Tramp with Southern Hotel. The Krewe of Covington Lions Club parade, a procession of handmade floats, trucks, wagons, classic cars and walking groups, is a fun parade for families that rolls through downtown Covington on Mardi Gras Day. The 66th annual parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by the Mystic Krewe of Covington and the Krewe of Bogue Falaya parades.
