Because instead of featuring a guest comedian who performs one or two evenings in the main theater during the course of a cruise, every Carnival ship has a smaller, dedicated space for comedy called “The Punchliner Comedy Club.” Each Carnival sailing will feature multiple rotating comedians performing anywhere from 5 to 30+ total shows On your Carnival ship, laughter is always on the menu at the The Punchliner Comedy Club. Unlike land-based comedy clubs, there are no cover charges or two-drink minimums here. Just sit back and enjoy the hilarious performances from some of the best comedians in the biz. The reason my husband and I choose Carnival the majority of the time is because Carnival does the best when it comes to comedy shows. Now we see that Mardi Gras is the best of the best. They announced that there were 60 comedy shows during our sailing. Since the comedians do repeat shows, that means there were about 30 different shows to watch. Shows were kind of lame to me but we had a bunch of performers with covid on our cruise. Family feud was fun. Fortune teller bar is the best on the ship. Alchemy bar is small and packed later at night since it is next to the club. Club was smallest I have seen on any ship. Carnival Mardi Gras Restaurants are Stellar, But Venues Could be Bigger The traditional theater can only seat 900 at a time, and both the popular Piano Bar and Punchliner Comedy Club are Mardi Gras also features a piano bar, comedy club and live gameshows, such as Family Feud and Deal or No Deal. 4.
