Carnaval de Quebec is the largest and most well-known Mardi Gras celebration in the province. The festival takes place over the course of two weeks, and features a range of activities for all ages. One of the most popular events is the Grande Parade , which sees costumed revelers marching through the streets of Quebec City. The Quebec Winter Carnival (French: Carnaval de Québec), commonly known in both English and French as Carnaval, is a pre-Lenten festival held in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. After being held intermittently since 1894, the Carnaval de Québec has been celebrated annually since 1955.
