The Krewe of Petronius is the world's oldest gay Mardi Gras Krewe. Formed in 1961, for 63 yeasr we have celebrated gay Mardi Gras. While the first official gay Carnival krewe, the Krewe of Yuga, was formed in the late 1950s, “Gay Mardi Gras” had been going on underground way before then.
