How Much Are Hotels During Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is one of the busiest times of year for New Orleans, and hotels reflect that by raising their prices. Many hotels are booked solid months in advance, so if you’re hoping to find a room during Mardi Gras, you’ll need to plan ahead and be prepared to pay a premium. Hotel Mazarin, would be my vote. I do not like to be on the other side of Canal during Mardi Gras. So much going on in the quarter. But that is just me. I do not like parades that much. Prefer people watching. But if you plan on watching parades mostly then Sheraton.
