Krewes seeking new members include the Mystick Knights of Adonis, the Krewe of Argus, the Krewe of Excalibur, the Krewe of Isis, and the Krewe of Pandora. You’ll find membership info on each of their sites. This is the Official Membership Application to the Krewe of St. Andrews. Upon recommendation of the Membership Committee, applicants must complete orientation and be approved by the Krewe Board before becoming an official member. Members must be 21 or older. Becoming a member of the Endymion Krewe is an honor and a privilege. The application process is rigorous, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Membership offers a number of benefits, including discounts on tickets to the parade and other events, eligibility for scholarships and awards, and the opportunity to participate in all of the Thereafter, a $500 initiation fee is required to become a krewe member, at which time the cost to ride drops to $1100. We are a co-ed, family-friendly social club with beautiful, well-lit, colorful floats. Our club is willing and determined to bring a sense of the true Mardi Gras feeling back to Jefferson Parish. Typically the person who reaches out to the krewe on behalf of the group would become the float lieutenant — the liasion between the krewe and the members who ride on a given float. But how do you become a member? The Allure of Krewe Membership. Becoming a Krewe member means more than just riding in a parade. It's about joining a community of people passionate about Mardi Gras. In order to join a Mardi Gras Krewe, you must first become a member of the New Orleans Carnival Association. Membership is open to any person, business, or organization who agrees to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association, and who pays the annual membership fee. The dues never include throws though, which a lot of times will be just as expensive or more so than the membership itself. Nyx also has year-round events you can choose to buy tickets for as a member (summer social, corsets and cowboys, float specific holiday events, etc) but most krewes don’t have additional meet-ups outside the season. We welcome your membership. Membership is open to the general public. Dues is $100.00 per year per person. A new signature throw for Excalibur will be an 8-inch hand-decorated Dragon Egg and hand-decorated wooden shields. Excalibur rolls February 21 at 7 p.m. during Family Gras. Krewe of Paws. Mardi Gras has gone to the dogs! The Krewe of Paws will parade Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Olde Town Slidell. Each Krewe is welcome to have a Board member represented on the Board which has elections on the 2nd Tuesday of Monthly Membership Meetings. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend the Monthly Membership meetings that are held on the 3rd Monday of every month at the Krewe of Gemini Den/Mardi Gras Museum. Social time starts at 5:30 pm and the meeting starts at 6:00 pm. A cash bar will be open during the meeting. The Krewe of Kings The Krewe of Kings (aka the Kings of Metry) is a Jefferson Parish Carnival Club, established in 2019. After a short hiatus due to Covid and the tragic passing of Co-Founder Mckinley “Mackie” J. Cantrell III, the krewe is returning to the Metairie parade route on Lundi Gras in 2025. A social club that is active year-round, we are dedicated to our community, and members can often be found volunteering to help with various community improvement projects the Krewe supports.
