The actual suite isn’t nearly as nice as I would have expected. No outside views kinda ruined it, but the private elevator down to a main level was super nice as elevators tended to be crowded. The Serenity area on the Mardi Gras is great, although it's often windy, like all forward-located Serenity areas. Gotta say I loved the Serenity area on the Imagination (may she r.i.p.), since on the Fantasy-class ships it's in the back, serene and out of the wind. Hey guys, wife and I just booked our first cruise in we think 5 years. Finally getting a honeymoon since tying the knot 4 years ago and two kids later. Right now we have a balcony on deck 16 of the Carnival Madi Gras, wondering if upgrading to a balcony room on the spa deck would be with it? I was on the Mardi Gras in April and loved having a balcony. Among the other reasons listed already, it's nice to have a balcony to people watch when you are coming back to your room on port days. Carnival's balcony prices are still very reasonable when compared to RC. What they want for an ocean view balcony is outrageously expensive. Discover the perks of Carnival's Cloud 9 Spa rooms. The Havana decks on the Vista and Horizon are totally worth it for the "privacy". A bit confused by the Havana layout melding into the summer landing layout on the Mardi Gras, so we went spa cove for our upcoming 2021 cruise. I had room 12202 on the Dream. This is the very most forward room on the 12th deck. It was literally just around the corner from the spa. If you are going to take advantage of the spathe saunas, steam rooms, heated loungers, thalassotherapy pools, relaxation rooms and the excellent showers in the locker-room area of the spa then yes it is worth the extra cost. Will be on the Carnival Mardi Gras soon and wanted to see if the Loft 19 Cabana is worth the price. It’s a 7-day cruise and costs $2,000 to cover the whole time. I did confirm the ship is fully booked so my family (5 people) was debating if is worth the price to have a separate place to gather. Thank you all in advance! Want to see what Loft 19 is all about on the Carnival Mardi Gras? Wondering if it's a good fit for you? Let's tour it together and help decide! Excel Suit Has anybody bought the wifi on the carnival Mardi Gras? If so how's the wifi and is it worth buying The day pass on carnival is $45 lol that's why I was thinking $150 for 8 days isn't bad. My mom was thinking about getting it as well. I've only been on 2 cruises (1 as an adult and 1 as a 10yr old) but I don't remember going to any of the shows. I'm more of a relax kinda person vs trying to do a million activities No, it's not really worth it on the 3 Excel Class ships (Jubilee, Celebration, Mardi Gras). But it is 100% worth it on the 3 Vista Class ships (Vista, Horizon, Panorama). On the Vista Class you get a good sized pool as well as two larger hot tubs and two tiki huts to soak your feet and relax.
