Thousands filled the south St. Louis neighborhood to showcase their pets at the 46th annual Purina Pet Parade. Organizers say the costumed parade is the largest event of its kind in the world. Next event February 22, 2025 The City of Lake Charles has an estimated 4-mile Mardi Gras parade route through the city. Throughout the parade route, there are an estimated 50 intersections without bollards. LPD units are utilized to block the intersection, however a vehicle can easily drive around the PD unit into the crowded intersection.
