Read More The Krewe of Phoenix (KOP) is an all-inclusive Mardi Gras Organization (LGBTQ) in Mobile, Alabama. The organization was established by nine founding members in January 2009, and the inaugural general meeting with charter members took place on March 22, 2009. Wristbands for KOP’s 9th Annual Mardi Gras Ball are available for pickup on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10 AM - 6 PM and Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10 AM until 1 AM at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on the 1st floor in Hall B located at 801 Allen Y. Lew Place. We've gone from 360 attendees in 2017, our inaugural year, to over 1,000 attendees at our 2020 Ball. The Mardi Gras Ball is our largest event of the year. We awarded 3 scholarships in 2019.
