The Krewe Unique Mardi Gras Parade returns this year with a few surprises for the crowds as the non-profit organization has been rolling through the streets of Ocean Springs with their dazzling Mardi Gras floats and popular marching bands for the past 25 years. Krewe Unique Community Outreach Organization has been hosting the Annual Mardi Gras Parade for the past 25 years. The Krewe spends the rest of the year serving those who need it the most — as they have done for more than two decades. (WLOX) - Krewe Unique is preparing for its ninth annual Mardi Gras celebration. The line-up follows directly after the Ocean Springs Elks Parade on January 27. This truly Unique parade, lead by Alcorn State University Marching Band, begins at the corner of Front Beach, Porter Ave, Washington Ave, Government St, and Holcomb Blvd. Krewe Unique’s 2022 Mardi Gras Ball had a Get Ready ‘Cause Here We Come theme, and they are rolling with a “Sounds of Motown” parade! The Mardi Gras parade season is getting into full swing as the Ocean Springs Elks Club parade, followed by the Krewe Unique parade, rolled through Ocean Springs on Saturday. A new signature throw for Excalibur will be an 8-inch hand-decorated Dragon Egg and hand-decorated wooden shields. Excalibur rolls February 21 at 7 p.m. during Family Gras. Krewe of Paws. Mardi Gras has gone to the dogs! The Krewe of Paws will parade Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Olde Town Slidell. On Saturday, February 15, 2025, Ocean Springs will kick off the Mardi Gras Parade Season with the Ocean Springs Elks and Krewe Unique parades. The Elks parade will roll at 1:00 p.m., with Krewe Unique following immediately. The Krewe will delight parade-goers with a variety of unique new throws, including signature decorated glasses, stainless steel cocktail recipe cups, lighted items and several unique keepsakes commemorating their new floats. The excitement all begins the night of their Rendezvous Ball on February 1, 2025, held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
