To ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration, residents and visitors are urged to follow regulations regarding barricades, street closures, parking, and public safety. The Krewe hosts dinners, parties, and many other functions year-round in anticipation of the annual ball which takes place the Saturday before Mardi Gras day & is held at the Lafayette Cajundome. The Krewe of Triton street parade is held the Monday before Mardi Gras after the Queen Evangeline parade. The Krewe is divided into smaller groups, or Krewe De Acadian is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping the traditions of Mardi Gras alive in Acadiana.
