There will be plenty of parades around New Orleans for the last few days of the carnival season leading up to Mardi Gras on Tuesday March 4. New Orleans’ largest party happens every year and culminates on Fat Tuesday. The best part is knowing the parade routes so you can watch the festivities. Here are the parade routes for Mardi Gras this year. New Orleans Mardi Gras 2025 Parade Schedule (Remaining as of February 22, 2025) Saturday, February 22, 2025. Krewe of Pontchartrain. Time The parade follows Veterans all the way down to the intersection of Martin Behrman Avenue and Veterans, where the parade will end. Founded in 1983, the Krewe of Little Rascals is America's longest-running Mardi Gras krewe for children. The first ball was held in 1857 by the Mistick Krewe of Comus. Comus hosted the first parade, followed by Rex in 1872, which debuted the king of Mardi Gras. The Rex parade gave Mardi Gras the official colors of purple to represent justice, green to represent faith, and gold to represent power.
