carnival mardi gras vs magic mardi gras history presentation

How does the Carnival Magic compare to the Carnival Mardi Gras? The Magic was built in 2011. It is 10 years older than the Mardi Gras, which was built in 2021. See all the differences in terms of size, facilities, and dining options. The Carnival Mardi Gras has a total of 6 pools and 7 hot tubs. 2 of the pools are exclusive access, which means there's either an extra charge to access them or you need to book a certain class of cabin to have access to them. Carnival Magic has fewer pools than the Mardi Gras and more hot tubs. 8-day Carnival Magic from Norfolk, VA, itinerary includes Half Moon Cay, Amber Cove, and Grand Turk. I like the extra day and *love* the itinerary. I don't like that Serenity doesn't have a pool, as I spent a big chunk of my time there. Other option is 7-day Mardi Gras leaving from Port Canaveral, going to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Mahogany Bay. Which trip would you pick and more importantly why spring break. Family of 4 (kids are 7 and 9) experience cruisers but not since covid magic- 8 day- San Juan, st kitts, st marten, grand turk mardi Gras- 7 day- San Juan, amber cove, grand turk We know it’s spring break so it will be crowded but Our now first cruise will be on the Mardi Gras (July hopefully). We are booking a replacement cruise for our canceled first cruises from July, August, November, and now March. Our only options within affordability are the Carnival Magic or NCL Encore. We are seriously considering Magic because we can get a balcony vs interior only on other cruises. So far I think either Magic 8 night to Aruba, Bonaire & Amber Cove or Mardi Gras to San Juan, Grand Turk and Amber Cove. We have B2B on Horizon booked in April that includes Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, and Mardi Gras in December 2023 which includes the same cruise. The Mardi Gras is 40% larger, and has more dining options if you like options. It also has a more upscale look/feel to it. The rooms on Mardi Gras are nice, looking, but the Magic's rooms are a bit bigger. If you want the latest and greatest, Mardi Gras is the way to go. If you want tried and true, Magic is a safe bet. Carnival Magic Vs. Carnival Mardi Gras horn battle in Port Canaveral. The Mardi Gras is considered a large size ship. Coming in at 1,130 feet long and 137 feet wide, it's roughly the length of 3.1 football fields, as wide as 2.6 tractor-trailers and the same height as a 17-story building. Compared to the Disney Magic, the Mardi Gras is 115% larger in terms of overall tons. The Mardi Gras has a construction date of 2020 and a total size of 180,800 gross tons. The ship measures 1,130 feet (344 meters) in length and falls in line as number 3 among the 27 active ships that make up the fleet. Carnival Mardi Gras is included in Carnival’s XL Class. We kick off a new ship’s career with a naming ceremony and ours are one part tradition and a lotta parts fun! On the tradition end, we get dignitaries like Mardi Gras' godmother, Miss Dominican Republic Kimberly Jiménez, and our own Chief Fun Officer Shaq to help make sure the champagne bottle gets broken just right for good luck. I have been on both the Celebration and the Mardi Gras. They are basically identical minus some of the theme areas. The Mardi Gras has a New Orleans/Mardi Gras theme while the Celebration is Miami/Art Deco. The biggest difference in venues is two of the bars on deck six. They have different themes and drinks on the two ships. When it comes to festivals that celebrate the spirit of revelry and indulgence, two names stand out: Carnival and Mardi Gras. While both are synonymous with vibrant parades, colorful costumes, and extravagant celebrations, they have distinct origins, traditions, and cultural significance. Carnival Magic was the last ship designed by Joe Farcus, who is famous for what I can only describe as "90s Vegas" interior design. While Dream and Magic were much more muted than previous ships, it still comes across as a bit dated when compared to even the Breeze, which is in the same class. Vista will appear much more modern. At 130,000 gross tons, Carnival Magic is almost five times the size of Mardi Grasâ 27,250 tons. Carnival Magic stretches 1,004 feet in length with a beam of 158 feet and a capacity of 3,690 guests compared to Mardi Grasâ 650-foot length and 86.5-foot beam and passenger capacity of 906. The Mardi Gras is also over 40% bigger than the Vista Class ships and will have different food and entertainment options. We enjoyed our 2 Horizon cruises staying in the Havana area, but tastes evolve and that's why our next two Carnival cruises are on the first two Excellence Class ships.
