Mardi Gras! Galveston is delighted to announce the distinguished recipients of the prestigious George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award: Mike Doherty and Kenneth Shelton. These two lifelong residents of Galveston Island will be honored at an awards ceremony on Friday, February 21, 5:30 PM, as part of the kick-off to Mardi Gras festivities. Entertainment, Inc. would like to invite students and artists from Galveston Island and the surrounding areas to submit an official Mardi Gras! Galveston poster design. The winning poster will be reproduced as a commemorative poster to be released as part of Mardi Gras! Galveston 2025. The artist with the winning poster will receive a $1000 award. Galveston, Yaga’s Entertainment, Inc. would like to invite students and artists from Galveston Island and the surrounding areas to submit an official Mardi Gras! Galveston poster design. The winning poster will be reproduced as a commemorative poster to be released as part of Mardi Gras! Galveston 2025. The winning poster will also be 10:00 p.m. Mardi Gras!
