Started in 2009, the 610 Stompers are a all-male dance group in New Orleans. [1] [2] Named for the Superdome section where the founder, Brett Patron (“Slab”), had season tickets to the New Orleans Saints, the 610 Stompers march in Mardi Gras parades, perform at charity events, and dance at halftime shows. About The 610 Stompers The 610 Stompers are many things but, first and foremost, we are Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Moves. Since our birth in 2009, we have evolved and grown into a 100-man strong, all male dance group whose bold mission is to return the ordinary man to the glory of dance. Come learn the DANCE MOVES then DANCE the MOVES with us, just like we do during Mardi Gras. And if having an epic time with the 610 Stompers and scoring some sweet swag isn’t enough, we donate the proceeds to some great causes. It sounds like a fairy tale, but it’s the true story of the 610 Stompers, New Orleans’s only all-male dance crew. Since their humble inception in 2009, the Stompers have become a NOLA institution. Pop-and-locking through parades, they draw rapturous applause from audiences equally impressed and amused by the Stompers’ unique style.
