Alexandria’s Mardi Gras has grown from having a total of ten floats with participation of four Mardi Gras Krewes that first year, to presently having 6th Annual Rapides Academy Mardi Gras Parade - Feb. 9 at 1:15 p.m. - Lincoln Road and Phoenix Magnet parking lot. Alexandria Children’s Parade: February 10 at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Alexandria Parades will take place in Alexandria, Ball, Marksville, Natchitoches, Pineville and Woodworth. The Alexandria Mardi Gras Association’s Krewes Parade will be held on Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m Where: Ball Time: 2 p.m. Route: Begins on Powell Drive, travels down U.S. Highway 165 and ends at Dairy Queen.
