The Covington Police Department is pleased to announce route, parking, and safety information for the annual Carnival in Covington Mardi Gras Day celebration, starting with the Covington Lions Club parade, Mystic Krewe of Covington parade, and the Krewe of Bogue Falaya parade, scheduled to roll on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. We have many ways to celebrate on the Northshore parades will roll (or stroll, or strut), kings and queens will be crowned at Carnival Krewe Balls and all COVINGTON, La. — The 2025 Carnival season kicked off on January 6, and Krewe of Olympia is set to roll through Covington on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. The Mystic Krewe of Olympia has a Mardi Gras weekend starts heating up on Feb. 14, when the Krewe Bohème rolls through the French Quarter at 7 p.m.. On the north shore , the Krewe of Titans parades through Slidell at 6:30 p.m . Mardi Gras Day on the Northshore begins at 10 a.m. with the 24-float Carnival in Covington. More than 450 riders will celebrate with the theme, "This and Dat." Float titles include Red Beans and Rice with Abita Roasting, Crawfish and Beer with St John's Fools of Misrule, and Lady and the Tramp with Southern Hotel. Early Parades Kick Off the Season The season begins in Covington on Jan. 11 , with the Fools of Misrule (4 p.m.) and the Krewe of Majestic (11 a.m.) . With Mardi Gras almost one week away, here are the remaining parades of the season set to roll in St. Tammany Parish: Krewe of Selene will roll in Slidell on Friday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. Join the fun in celebrating Mardi Gras Day on the Northshore with the Krewe of Bogue Falaya's big parade through beautiful downtown Covington, Tuesday, March 4. The parade features Grand Marshal Lisa Condrey Ward, owner of Southern Hotel, and includes 600+ members riding 20 traditional floats on the theme, "Movies in Paradise", as well as five marching bands, 12 marching groups, horses, fair The Covington Police Department (CPD) is announcing route and safety information for the annual Krewe of Olympia Mardi Gras parade, scheduled to roll on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
