ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY: During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Saturday from as early as 4:00 P.M. until as late as 7:30 P.M. and again on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M. Typically During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M. For further information, call City Hall at 251-981-6979. Fat Tuesday is March 4, 2025, but Mardi Gras parades in Baldwin County roll well ahead of the holiday. The Pirates of the Lost Treasure Mardi Gras Flotilla will float on February 15th. The Orange Beach Parade started as a loose confederation of large and small groups that wanted to parade by the beach. The city of Orange Beach stepped in and took over the parade's planning. It's still open to participation by just about anybody, even groups outside of Orange Beach.
