Grab your krewe and get jazzy at Ballpark Village following the Soulard Bud Light Grand Parade & Celebration on Saturday, March 1st. Featuring LIVE music ALL DAY - rock out with Danger Party and DJs in every venue to get the pardi going. The Soulard Mardi Gras in St. Louis is one of the largest and most vibrant Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States, second only to New Orleans. The 2025 season promises weeks of lively parades, unique themed events, pet-friendly gatherings, and plenty of food and drink, drawing thousands to St. Louis’s historic Soulard neighborhood. The 2025 St. Louis Mardi Gras present the largest Mardi Gras parade outside the City of New Orleans, the Bud Light Grand Parade. The parade begins at Busch Stadium at 11am and runs south on Broadway through Soulard to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Over 10,000,000 strands of beads will be thrown from nearly 100 floats along the parade route. Head to Sports & Social St. Louis for the official Carnival Tent after party. The Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball will take place Friday, Feb. 28, at Anheuser-Busch Tour Center beginning at 7 p.m. Guests can enjoy fine cuisine, cocktails, dancing, and entertainment by artists including St. Louis legend Murphy Lee. The 46th Mardi Gras weekend kicks off in St. Louis with the Mayor’s Ball, followed by the Bud Light Grand Parade, and concludes with outdoor sales and events in the Soulard neighborhood. The 2025 St. Louis Mardi Gras Grand Parade will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the historic Soulard neighborhood. The parade begins at 11:00 AM, starting near Busch Stadium and winding through downtown and Soulard, eventually reaching the iconic Anheuser-Busch Brewery. For many WashU students, Mardi Gras is a rare reason to wake up early on a Saturday. Students travel to downtown St. Louis to party in a crowd — and maybe power through a 3 p.m. hangover. While students may spend three or four hours in Soulard, the planning that goes into Mardi Gras reflects 5,000 hours of volunteer work throughout the year. Each year, the 12th night after Christmas marks the beginning of the Mardi Gras season. The night kicks off with our Board of Directors converging in a cozy corner of Soulard to decide whether to order the commencement of Mardi Gras, while local leaders, politicians and krewes petition with their best performances and bribes of liquid refreshment.
