LOUIS — Soulard's biggest party of the year is back this weekend. The Mardi Gras main event, the Grand Parade, starts at 11 a.m. Here's everything you need to know if you are heading to From Soulard to Granite City, here’s where you can join the party in the St. Louis area. The Bud Light Grand Parade, a highlight of the festivities, is scheduled for March 1, 2025, starting at 11:00 am. For many WashU students, Mardi Gras is a rare reason to wake up early on a Saturday. Students travel to downtown St. Louis to party in a crowd — and maybe power through a 3 p.m. hangover. While students may spend three or four hours in Soulard, the planning that goes into Mardi Gras reflects 5,000 hours of volunteer work throughout the year.
