Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is finalizing preparations for the 2025 Mardi Gras season. To ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration, residents and visitors are urged to follow regulations regarding barricades, street closures, parking, and public safety. Unlike the jammed 2024 season, the 2025 Mardi Gras calendar gives local krewes five weeks of pre-carnival celebrations. This year’s Mardi Gras is Tuesday, March 4. St. Mary Parish parades The oldest female Mardi Gras organization in Jefferson Parish will celebrate Carnival 2025 with a 200-member, 18-float parade. This year's theme is “Isis Goes on a Field Trip” Floats will include Rivertown Theater , Aquarium, and Circus .
