Mardi Gras Ball. On February 8, 2025, we celebrated the 43rd anniversary of My Friend’s House and the 21st anniversary of the Mardi Grad Ball. The 2025 King and Queen are Matt and Julie Brown. Together with our other two court couples and board members, we had another record year and raised over $195,000 for My Friend's House. The evening commences with a lively, Mardi-Gras-like-parade entrance and includes top-notch entertainment, first-class cuisine, an informative program, the revealing of the MGB King and Queen, and culminates, of course, with dancing throughout the night. Mardi Gras Ball is an event not to be missed with all proceeds benefiting My Friend's House. My Friend's House will hold its 21st annual Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Liberty Hall in the Factory at Franklin. This signature fundraiser supports the organization's mission to serve neglected, abused, or at-risk boys in state custody by providing a home-like environment with safety, structure, encouragement, care and expectations. My Friend’s House is a group home serving neglected, abused, or at-risk boys, ages 12-18, in State custody by offering a home-like environment with a balance of safety, structure, encouragement, care and expectations.
