While Lafayette hosts traditional Mardi Gras parades and masked balls, what sets the city apart is the Courir de Mardi Gras across Cajun and Creole communities. During the Courir de Mardi Gras , masked participants make their way through Cajun Country collecting ingredients for a communal gumbo while singing and dancing. When is Mardi Gras 2025?
