The Krewe of Service organizes volunteers who donate time and skills to staff Mardi Gras Southeast Texas. In order to volunteer, please select the position and shift you wish to volunteer for through the link below. Volunteer shifts are fast paced and requires volunteers to be standing the entire four hour shift. Mardi Gras Southeast Texas kicks off at its new home at Doggett Ford Park on Friday, February 28, 2025 with the traditional chicken toss at 5 p.m. followed by the first parade two hours later. The Mardi Gras Southeast Texas, which is going on its thirty-third year, is the premier event of the Carnaval season in Southeast Texas! Ten parades will line the downtown streets. The Courir de Mardi Gras Parade commences at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Mardi Gras Southeast Texas is a non-profit 501-C-4 organization. Contributions or gifts to Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas, Inc. are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Excess funds are donated to the above listed 501-C-3 organizations. A volunteer base provides service, when possible, no salaries are paid.
