ArcGNO takes your unwanted Mardi Gras throws and turns them into jobs. They employ people with intellectual disabilities to sort through, repackage, and resell your Buy-U Beads. This carnival season, let TARC’s Buy-U Beads business service all of your throws for Mardi Gras! Through generous donations from the community, this unique business employs over 12 workers that sort, package, and sell beads and throws that include stuffed animals and footballs to krewes and riders. Arc of Greater New Orleans accepts beads at various locations throughout the New Orleans Metro. NOLA.com has more specific information. St. Michael Special School in New Orleans is in need of bead donations for this St. Patrick's Day and next Mardi Gras. Many smaller organizations may accept beads for recycling as part of their community service. After mister throws you something, where do Mardi Gras beads go?
