From the dazzling evening floats of the Mystics of Pleasure to the unique boat parade at LuLu's in Gulf Shores, locals and visitors alike can look forward to a packed ROAD CLOSURE ADVISORY: During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Saturday from as early as 4:00 P.M. until as late as 7:30 P.M. and again on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M. Typically Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade. The Orange Beach parade began years ago when several groups wanted a chance to parade along the beach. Now, it is organized each year by the City of Orange Beach. Join the 30,000 enthusiastic spectators lining Perdido Beach Boulevard for the annual event on March 4. During the Mardi Gras parades, the City of Orange Beach closes Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Boulevard) within the city limits of Orange Beach, Alabama to vehicular traffic on Tuesday from as early as 1:00 P.M. until as late as 4:00 P.M.
