On June 4 th, Mardi Gras met her homeport for the first time which would be the awesome Port Canaveral, of course. So maybe you should meet it too! So maybe you should meet it too! Port Canaveral is a great place to kick off a cruise from, especially with the beautiful, brand-new cruise terminal we built specifically to be Mardi Gras’ home. First completed in June 2020, Cruise Terminal 3 (also known as CT3) at Port Canaveral is the port’s newest addition, but it may be best known as the new home of Carnival’s newest — and largest — ship, Mardi Gras. So here’s a brand-new ship with a familiar name. With this Mardi Gras ® we aren't just paying homage to our first ship — in cruising circles this name suggests innovation, signals the start of something big. Oh, and this Mardi Gras still shouts “fun!” at the top of its lungs. Port Canaveral has seven cruise terminals currently in operation, each designed to accommodate various cruise lines and ship sizes: Cruise Terminal 1 (CT1) – Primarily used by Royal Caribbean International. Cruise Terminal 3 (CT3) – The newest terminal, built for Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras and other large ships. The March 1, 2025 cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras departs from Port Canaveral, Florida. On this 7 Night Western Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) sailing, the ship will visit a total of 4 different cruise port destinations, including its departure port. The Carnival Mardi Gras sets sail on Saturday, Mar 1st and returns on Saturday, Mar 8th. The new Mardi Gras ship also has Carnival's signature facilities Serenity (adults-only resort), Alchemy Bar, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks. Carnival Mardi Gras main dining rooms feature select items from the onboard steakhouse, available for an additional fee. Mardi Gras also has a Lido buffet. The February 22, 2025 cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras departs from Port Canaveral, Florida. On this 7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) sailing, the ship will visit a total of 4 different cruise port destinations, including its departure port. The Carnival Mardi Gras sets sail on Saturday, Feb 22nd and returns on Saturday Carnival Mardi Gras rooms are more thoughtful in terms of design and storage than other Carnival ships. Unsurprisingly, balcony rooms and Ocean Suites are popular for their views of the sea. Cruise Terminal 3 at Port Canaveral, completed in June 2020, is the new home of Carnival's largest ship, Mardi Gras. The terminal is located at the North West Atlantic Ocean and is home to 19 decks, 6,500 passengers, and 181,000 tons. Everything about the Mardi Gras says “BIG fun“. In fact, to accommodate the Mardi Gras‘s 19 decks, 6,500 passengers, and 181,000 tons, Port Canaveral totally revamped Cruise Terminal 3 in 2018.
