The traditional theater can only seat 900 at a time, and both the Carnival’s Mardi Gras offers passengers a host of revolutionary new activities as well as signature Carnival favorites. Thrill-seekers will flock to Bolt, the first at-sea roller coaster, which offers rider-controlled speed for a custom thrill, while visitors to the WaterWorks water park can enjoy refreshing fun on its many waterslides. The ship’s engine room was manufactured by NEPTUN WERFT in Rostock – another shipyard in the MEYER Group. Mardi Gras adds a touch of excitement to Carnival Cruise Line, featuring the first ever roller-coaster on the high seas. Adrenaline junkies are able to whizz around the ship at 40 mph – the course is 244 metres long.
