The Dance Connection “TDC" is a non-profit organization founded in 1979 by Sharon McNeal. The NOLA Angels is a dance, parade, & social team made up of ladies ranging from our early 20s to our late 60s! We practice in Harahan but have teammates from all over the NOLA metro area, including the Northshore and the Westbank. More than just a dance team, The NOLA Angels parade, dance, volunteer, and socialize! Parades are so much more than just the floats. It takes many more groups to make it all come together, including marching bands, flambeauxs, and, of course, marching groups. Oui sashay throughout the brightest city in the world with Mardi Gras parades and charity events across the Metropolitan New Orleans area, Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi. Since 2009, the all-women dance troupe has devoted itself to showcasing singers, songwriters, and producers connected with New Orleans, and we pride ourselves on continuing this tradition. Inspired by a retro-style theme, the Muff-a-Lottas’ signature features 1950’s and 60’s music and costumes. The all Krewe parade will feature marching bands, dance teams, and participating Krewes in the final hours of Mardi Gras Galveston 2025. Fall just started, but the Amelia EarHawts & Cabin Krewe is already practicing for parade season! Take an inside look into what it takes to dance in the streets in NOLA. Ritmeaux is New Orleans’ first-ever Latin dance-focused marching krewe! But, fear not, no dance experience is necessary and all backgrounds and ethnicities are welcome. Dancers can also be any gender, and any age — 18 or older. The dance team’s annual fees are $150, which includes the uniform, and auditions are held in March and November. The 610 Stompers are many things but, first and foremost, we are Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Moves. Since our birth in 2009, we have evolved and grown into a 100-man strong, all male dance group whose bold mission is to return the ordinary man to the glory of dance. The Adv/All Star division at Mardi Gras 2024 did not qualify as a Tier 1 competition. Tier 1 competitions must have 5 unique leads and follows and DMG 2024 only had 4 unique leads. See WSDC Rules. Unfortunately we accidently submitted the scores to the WSDC as a Tier 1. Their costumes and dance style prioritize joy and individuality over rigid uniformity, which opens space for our Super Troupers to shine brighter than any disco ball.
