The Krewe of Barkus is known for its creative and often wacky costumes, floats, and throws. With distinctive flair and joie de vivre, the DeLand, Florida Krewe of Amalee donates time and talents to nurture our local neighborhoods. The Krewe has raised close to $600,000- through sponsorhips for our annual mardi gras dog parade and family day which has been used to support the arts, fragile families, and humane pet centers. Krewe Du Pooch is a non-profit dog parade and costume contest co-hosted by the City of Mandeville.
