The annual Mardi Gras Festival kicked off at Cajun Field tonight, bringing five days of celebration with a lineup of food, music, and entertainment. and enjoy the fair. The festivities will kick off on Friday, February 28 with the Krewe Allons Kick-Off Parade, which will roll at 6:30 pm. Le Festival de Mardi Gras a Lafayette is the ending point for that parade and all the other weekend Lafayette parades. When Lafayette’s Mardi Gras parade route was lengthened several years ago, organizers launched Le Festival de Mardi Gras a Lafayette at Cajun Field, a five-day fair that has continued. Located at the end of the parade route, the fair has a full slate of musical performances, plus rides and amusements for all ages. Mardi Gras Ball Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025 Catering Pre-Order Deadline: February 21, 2025. The Krewe of Triton was founded and held its first annual Tableau and Ball in 1980. The initial philosophy of the Krewe was to create a "working man's krewe" that welcomed all who wanted to enjoy the fun and merriment of Mardi Gras. Greater Southwest is excited to announce the return of Le Festival de Mardi Gras á Lafayette at Cajun Field! The Festival will run from Friday, February 9th through February 13th, 2024. Le Festival will feature a carnival with the newest, most exciting rides along with a new, more convenient, and spacious layout.
