Is the family harbor worth the extra costs on Mardi Gras We pushed forward a cruise by 8 months because our youngest will be over 5 and able to partake in camp ocean. No more connecting cabins on this newer sailing. So we are wondering if the family harbor suite in the family harbor area is worth the extra few hundred dollars. cruised in November 2019 family harbor room and I rate it 5 out of 5 stars .. What I love: 1) short breakfast lines 2) Coffee and latte machine and even espresso ! 3) Daughter likes to watch the TV in there with other children and I sit back relax drinking coffee eating the snacks So we moved our cruise to a later date to make life easier for the youngest kid. Problem is the sailing doesn't have any connecting cabins left. So we are considering a family harbor suite. Wondering if the family harbor area perks are worth it. The cost goes up 500 bucks for a 5 person suite compared to 2 balconies next to each other. -Mardi Gras -7 days -Nassau, Grand Turk, Amber Cove(just did this cruise in June) -Worse week for us logistically -2 hour drive to port -$800 cheaper -Both Family Harbor Suite and Ocean Suite available Having trouble deciding so any opinions would be greatly appreciated! But on the Mardi Gras trip we're planning for Oct, the family harbour ocean view is only $5/day difference. With our kids now going to be 5 and 2 in the fall of 2021, we're a little more likely to use some of the perks. Also, on the Mardi Gras, the kid's club is right at the FH floor, giving a bit more value. Cabins Near The Family Harbor Lounge. The Family Harbor Lounge is located on Deck 4 and it serves breakfast and snacks throughout the day. As the name implies, it’s an area for families with games and activities. Kids can get very loud here and we aren’t too sure how soundproof the walls are. The cabins directly next to the Family Harbor I had a family harbor suite booked for 10 months, then switched to a Havana suite at the time of final payment. There really are no perks to booking the family harbor cabins unless you book a suite. Of course, they have the different decor and access to the lounge. Sodas are still an extra charge, as well as FTTF.
